On great holiday, I went to visit a temple which locates in very jungle at Thma Pouk District, Banteay Meanchey Province. It is Banteay Torb Temple, second biggest temple of province. Banteay Torb is at North-west of Cambodia.
Less of people know the temple and others go visit there because of street to visit temple is a little harder. When people come to visit, mostly they go to Banteay Chmar Temple not for Banteay Torb.The word Banteay Torb means: Banteay is base and Torb means troop. So Banteat Torb means military base or troop base.
How can I go there?
I go there by driving my motor bike cycle with my wife. There some reasons I go to visit this temple are I want to make video blog about it to promote the place to people know it. Next, I hear people say about temple buy not many people knowing it. For travel, it takes about 30 minute from Serey Sorphorn City along street 56 then beyond Thma Pouk street sign at right side.

How Banteay Torb Temple Look Like?
Most part of temple are ruin by war, nature and some innocent people. If we look around them temple, there is a pond around it with big high trees and green grass that makes temple more beautiful more than I can think.
When Banteay Torb Temple was Built? for What?
Banteay Torb Temple was built in the day of King Jayvaraman VII for his people living there come to make insane for his religious both Buddha and Brahman, for Banteay Chmar Temple is very far from here. In addition, this area is surrounded by big jungle that make unsafe to his people Banteay Chmar going to BantThe style of the temple is Hinduism temple.

Sum up, I encourage everyone com e to visit this temple. Even it is in rural, it is safe on the way. People live along the way to it. We can say it is not only Khmer heritage but it also for every people of other country. Don't keep it alone until we lose it
Street to temple is so nice. There are not difficulties. Because I go there by my motor bicycle, I have spent arround 25 or 30 minutes from Tamuon Tmple to reach Takrobey Temple. A long the street, I see beutifull Dangrek Moutain lays very long distance that separates border between Cambodia and Thailand.
Afterwards, I see a big roundabout. Then turn left about 300 meters, I can see street signate of Takrabey Templel. It is telling that I have to drive 8 more kilometers to go arrive the temple.
